Tried and true, Arizona has proven to be a popular meteorite hunting training location and has been a monumental location for meteorite hunters and researchers alike. With relatively cooler days in the fall season, the Arizona training sessions are a fun and mild event. New meteorite hunters can easily traverse the training location with breaks for lunch in the shade, and lodging nearby.

 

The Arizona training camp prepares you for meteorite hunting in the field. The focus of the training camp is to practice meteorite hunting skills on a seeded field, in a closed and well monitored environment. Meaning, we plant meteorites and teach you how to hunt. We will guide you on the proper usage of Minelab metal detectors (provided) and train you how to visually search for them on the surface of our planet.

 

This is a great way to meet like minded people. Our last training groups became fast friends and adventured together to Morocco and Chile -- where they collectively found hundreds of meteorites!
